I started bowling when I was fifteen. What I like best is probably all of the great friendships I've formed over the years.
My favorite memory is being a participant in the the Team USA qualifying event. First you’d go to a qualifier, then you’d win the local, then go to a regional, and then a sectional. I made it into the top 24 women in the United States and I got to go to Atlanta, Georgia. What you do there is compete, then they take the top 12, and then just the top 5 are on the team and they go to the Olympic Training Camp. I made the top 24 but I didn't make the team. I bowled my 300 in Santa Maria which was the Regional Qualifier.
300
That’s a really hard question for me because I’m such a long-timer here. [At this point, Derek Castro (Lisa’s son-in-law) tells her that she should say what she likes best about the Boardwalk Bowl is that her daughter met her husband here.] So what I like best are the bowling family and the memories. I bowl with so many people now who I’ve been bowling with since I was in the Junior League.
