Boardwalk Bowl Information

We are committed to the ongoing well-being of our guests and employees. Here's a list of many of our new health and safety protocols. 

Screening Protocols

  • All employees will complete a CDC COVID-19 questionnaire prior to the start of their workday.
  • Non-invasive wellness and temperature checks for employees as needed.
  • Satellite location for employee screenings.
  • Additional screening will be conducted by security for vendors or guests showing symptoms of COVID‑19.

Face Coverings (Masks)

  • Face coverings (masks) will be required on the Boardwalk in accordance with local regulations.
  • Face coverings (masks) will be required upon entering the Boardwalk Bowl.
  • Face coverings (masks) must be worn at all times inside the Boardwalk Bowl except when actively eating or drinking.
  • All employees are required to wear face coverings (masks) at all times when interacting with the public, working in spaces visited by the public and preparing food.

Distancing Protocols

  • Capacity limited and controlled to ensure necessary distancing.
  • Bowlers, outside of family groups, will be separated by at least one lane to ensure necessary distancing.
  • Six-feet minimum distance for each food location line.
  • Manage customer flow with directional signage and distancing markers.

Sanitizing and Disinfection Protocols

  • Contact surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Touch points include railings, change machine, ATM machine, vending machines, lottery machine, exit crash bars and the water fountain, among others.
  • Tables will be cleaned and sanitized when people leave the area.
  • All point-of-sale areas have plexi-glass screens.
  • We have hand sanitizer available near the front door on Cliff Street and also by Coasters Bar and Grill, and in the ball check‑out room.

Bowling Specific Protocols

  • Bowlers outside family groups will be separated by at least one lane to ensure necessary distancing.
  • House balls will be made available in the Party Room instead of the lanes.  Guests can choose their bowling ball and will be told to leave it on the ball return when they have finished bowling. Our staff will remove the ball, return it to the Party Room, where it will be sanitized prior to being put back into use. We have a machine called the "Detox" that we will use for this procedure.
  • League play will be replaced with nightly tournament play, having 13 teams spread out among the 26 lanes, or four people on a pair of lanes.
  • Rental shoes are disinfected with Lysol after each use.

Coasters Bar and Grill

  • Half of the tables reduced from both the inside dining area and our patio area to ensure proper physical distancing. 
  • Bar seating removed.
  • Guests will be provided single-use condiments, including salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Single-use menus.
  • Karaoke and live music canceled until further notice.
